Hi! I’m Lisa Atkinson—owner of Lisa Atkinson Insurance Agency Inc. We’re glad you found us, and we’d love for you to get to know us and the way we support you as your insurance agency.

We opened our doors in December 2007, and before starting my own agency, I spent 10+ years with State Farm in various roles. I truly love what I do, and it’s a pleasure to serve our customers and the Skagit County community. Because of my tenure and personal experiences, I’m passionate about helping protect what matters most—the people you love and the assets you’ve worked hard for.

Our team is made up of some pretty special people, and we’re proud of the professionalism and care we bring day in and day out. Over the last few years, we relocated to 302 Gilkey Rd in Burlington, WA—and yes, the renovation is still a work in progress (my husband and I keep making updates in our spare time!) .

I also earned my ChFC designation to keep growing and improving—because knowledge is power, and I encourage our team to continue learning and sharing what they discover. That learning keeps our conversations fresh, thoughtful, and focused on real-life needs.

The agency is set up to serve you in all the ways that are most convenient—online, in person, by phone, virtually, email, texting, and more. And if you visit the office, you may get a friendly greeting from our office dog, Būdro, our 4 1/2-year-old Weimaraner. He takes his role seriously—especially at 1:00 pm lunch time (not 1:02!)—and if you’re not a dog person, don’t worry... he has his own office and won’t bother you.

As a family-run business with a small, hands-on team, we value relationship building and 1-on-1 support—and we all live locally, too.

Fun fact: Dave, my husband is our office manager, my son Denton has his own State Farm Agency in Lake Stevens, and my daughter Demri is a photographer recently re-located back to Washington—so you could say entrepreneurship runs in the family. We also recently became grandparents, and our family is growing—we have three girls who all call me “Li Li!” (It’s absolutely awesome.) We’ve also been nominated again for Skagit’s Insurance Office after a three-peat winning stretch & hoping for 2026 too.
